My teaching assignments: Principal, iCoach, Grade 9 & 10 English Language Arts, Grade 7 - 10 Social Studies and CTS/CTF options classes
My educational background and experience: Bachelor of Arts in Drama, Bachelor of Education in Drama specializing in Special and Inclusive Education (both from the University of Lethbridge); Masters of Education in Leadership & Policy Studies from the University of Alberta; Superintendent Leadership Qualifications from the University of Calgary. I have been teaching for 17 years and this is my seventh year as a school principal. I have taught all subjects from Kindergarten to grade 9, and mostly humanities for High School.
About me:
I am married. We have two cats, named CatCat and Kitten. We have a small puppy named Lucille who sometimes visits the school. I like to ride my bike and swim when I have spare time.
What I love most about teaching? The thing I love the most about teaching is the learning. I have an opportunity every year to learn more - just last year I learned some neat physics stuff and in the past I have learned about robotics, baking, and other great skills. This year I am learning about gardening, goats, and agriculture.
What I look forward to most this school year? I am looking forward to watching our Wildcats play sports & the addition of goats to our school.
